Systems of Criminalization: A BCCLA Panel

Join BCCLA staff lawyers Megan McDermott, Mara Selanders, Jessica Magonet, and Stephen Chin will break down the ways in which criminalization disproportionally impacts marginalized communities and the moves we and our allies are making locally and nationally to address these oppressive legal structures.

Panellists will speak to:

• the increased risks of criminalization faced by immigrants and refugees
• the continued practice of harmful street checks
• the efforts being made to decriminalize drugs
• what you can do to take action
