Support our lawsuit today.

In 2019, we had a historic win when the BC Court of Appeal ruled that the federal laws that permitted solitary confinement in Canada’s federal prisons were inhumane and unconstitutional.

The government claims that solitary confinement has been banned. But wardens at federal prisons continue to isolate prisoners in long-term solitary confinement, under different processes and names such as lockdowns and restrictive movement routines.

These practices are inhumane, and they need to stop. We are going back to court to fight against solitary confinement.
